the xmgrace GUI does not close as expected (via -> File -> Exit) when xmgrace has been started with parameters. For example, when xmgrace has been started via "xmgrace file.xvg" the GUI will close correctly, but when it has been started with parameters (e.g. "xmgrace xyz.xvg -legend load") the window will not close. I'm using KDE plasma provided by Debian Stretch and the issue does not occur with Gnome desktop. Thank you very much for your important work!
