Well I guess it's orthogonal to the switch to 008, we can still update
usb.ids in unstable.

I dropped the udeb because I got the confirmation that it is not need
anymore. See:

Indeed. Here is the packages that are still *potentially* affected:
- dahdi-tools
- hwdata
- kinfocenter
- libosinfo
- linux
- lshw

So far I haven't really investigated in details how they can be changed
to not use usb.ids.
