When I click on the date/clock at top centre of my screen, I get a quick calendar view with a list of current/upcoming events and an overview of this month. However, no amount of hovering, left-clicking or right-clicking on those events will get me any more information or open my calendar app (Evolution). I'm sure that at some point in the past, clicking on an event in this view would open the event in Evolution, or there was at least a button here to open my calendar app. Is the current total inability to get to my calendar from the gnome- shell quick view expected, correct behaviour? If not, any idea why it might not be working please? Is there a log file that might offer clues? Hmm: minor correction - it's not a total inability: I've just discovered that clicking on the word "Events" at the top of the left pane opens Evolution (perhaps the possibility of this interaction could be cued more visibly?), so gnome-shell knows Evolution's my calendar and is capable of launching it. But is it expected behaviour to not be able to open individual events or obtain more information on them by clicking/hovering? They highlight when I hover, which hints that they should have interactions.. It occurs to me that one final piece of information might be relevant: my actual calendar data is all remotely hosted, via CalDAV, with the connections set up in Evolution (not Gnome's "online accounts", since that doesn't seem to offer CalDAV as an option). It's not listed below, but I appear to be running evolution 3.22.6- 1+deb9u1, subtly different from evolution-data-server.
