Hi Chad, Yes, the meltdown/spectre kernel patch broke the kernel API and openafs will need to pull in the needed patch from a later upstream version than is avilable in (old)stable. This has already been noted several times, but a proper fix will take some time, as it must go through the stable release update process, get preapproval, etc. It might be easier to use the package from buster as an interim workaround. -Ben
