I'm having a similar problem, the pdf sent by Paulo shows the problem in page 67, 69, 70, etc. There are some artifacts in the evince toolbar.
I have attached a simpler pdf file and a screenshot. The file was generated by Kicad eeschema and is a striped down version of a full schematic, The schematic contained a hidden png image (scale was zero) and there were no problems with eeschema. The hidden png was accidental. Other pdf viewers/editors work fine (TeXworks, Inkscape, LibreOffice Draw, Firefox), however Libreoffice Draw shows the hidden png image instead of the schematic frame. How does the code know the size to allocate?
