On another machine, with also nvidia-driver, I could not reproduce the bug. The main difference is that its screen is not HiDPI. So, I've tried with: QT_SCALE_FACTOR=2 vlc and the bug appeared! On a third machine, with the nouveau driver, I could not reproduce the bug at all (whether QT_SCALE_FACTOR=2 is used or not). I've reported the bug upstream: https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1028412/linux/bad-vlc-window-redraw-with-hidpi-screen-black-lines/ -- Vincent Lefèvre <vinc...@vinc17.net> - Web: <https://www.vinc17.net/> 100% accessible validated (X)HTML - Blog: <https://www.vinc17.net/blog/> Work: CR INRIA - computer arithmetic / AriC project (LIP, ENS-Lyon)
