I forgot to mention, after /etc/init.d/xprint sets "ulimit -n 1024", i *cannot* increase the ulimit without superuser rights, since "ulimit -n 1024" sets the *hard* limit as well as the soft limit. Thank you for your attention, Christoffer Hammarström [EMAIL PROTECTED]
