Yeah, this provision of the Apache 2.0 license is a little weird, and I get the impression it doesn't register with people as much as it should. A bit like the GPL requirement to keep a changelog, which I see violated all over the place. (Including probably occasionally in Debian, although normal Debian best practices with debian/changelog would satisfy it.) Free software licenses have a lot more restrictions and specific requirements than a lot of people realize they do, and there are a *lot* of technical violations of free software licenses out there. -- Russ Allbery (r...@debian.org) <http://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/>
