As you can see, libart has had zero maintenance since 2010: https://git.gnome.org/browse/archive/libart_lgpl/ You are correct that libart was not mentioned in that email. But if we can remove libgnome, then it probably makes sense to remove libgnomecanvas too and if we can remove that, then this is one of the only packages left using libart. If you're really curious, the only other issues I am aware of for libart's removal are https://bugs.debian.org/885787 and https://bugs.debian.org/885800 (and dia is unmaintained). Anyway, we'll check in again later once more of the libgnome stack is removed. Consider this to be early warning. :) Thanks, Jeremy Bicha
