Package: proftpd Version: 1.2.10-27 Severity: wishlist Proftpd needs to know the ip address to use with passive transfers at startup. This is a problem when having a dynamic ip, as the provider sometimes change it on the fly. There is a module named mod_dynmasq avaiable in http://www.castaglia.org/proftpd/ wich allows to refresh the ip if given as a hostname, very useful for people with dynamic ip and dynamic dns. So, could you compile this module (or some other with the same functionality) in the debian packages.
I find it useful to be included in the package since proftpd does not support runtime module loading as (for example) apache does and one has to recompile it for every upgrade. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.14 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], LC_CTYPE= (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages proftpd depends on: ii adduser 3.84 Add and remove users and groups ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.4.70 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.6-1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcap1 1:1.10-14 support for getting/setting POSIX. ii libpam0g 0.79-3.1 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8a-7 SSL shared libraries ii libwrap0 7.6.dbs-8 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra ii netbase 4.24 Basic TCP/IP networking system ii proftpd-common 1.2.10-27 Versatile, virtual-hosting FTP dae ii ucf 2.005 Update Configuration File: preserv proftpd recommends no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
