nullmailer doesn't currently include a sysv init script (neither upstream nor the debian package), so that's why I marked it as needing systemd. You can see why the old Debian specific init script was dropped in NEWS.Debian. If you want to provide support for sysvinit, please open a seperate wishlist bug for that, and we can discuss it there. d
