Package: linux-image-3.16.0-4

Version: 3.16.43-2+deb8u5

Severity: critical

In the past weeks, I'm experiencing data loss (screwed up file systems;
ext4/xfs/zfs affected) when migrating Stretch DomU Xen virtual machines
from one Xen host to another. This happens on solid long-time stable Xen
host systems (one cluster is based on wheezy with Xen 4.1.2 and a iscsi
SAN shared storage which wasn't touched for ages, and two others based
on recent Stretch).

Apparently, only VMs with Kernel 3.16 are affected. Since VM migration
is performed infrequently and VMs affected are long-running servers that
are only updated once in a while I can't nail down a version when things
started to go wrong. AFAIR a machine with 3.16.36 was migrating
flawlessly some months ago, but recently showed corruption with a
3.16.43 kernel that was installed in September.
