Package: release-notes Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
May I suggest to document the fact that revelation is (likely) going to vanish from Debian, leaving users with a potential problem retrieving "locked" password databases. I think keepass2 offers a replacement solution, in that it can import a passwords XML file previously exported from revelation. I tried to get advice from revelation's maintainer, with no luck so far (see #790601). I think it would be safer to warn users in advance, provided they have a look at the release notes before upgrading to buster. Hope this helps, Best regards. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers oldstable-updates APT policy: (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.13.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=fr_FR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
