Package: sane
Version: 1.0.14-12
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

by using samsung multifunction-devices sane works only some seconds after
plugin the usb-cable. After that printing is possible but no scanning.

Solution:
1. comment out the device-line in
/etc/sane.d/xerox_mfp.conf
2. Add
deb http://www.bchemnet.com/suldr/ debian extra
to /etc/apt/sources.list
3. apt update
4. apt install suldr-keyring suld-ppd-2 suld-driver-common-1 suld-
driver-4.01.17 suld-configurator-1-qt4

Then the scanner is no longer ""xerox_mfp:..." but "smfp:SAMSUNG..." and it
works in all situations.

with regards
Andreas Matthus
