Please drop the GTK2 version of the colord-gtk library. It is unused
in Debian and Ubuntu.

It was originally requested in https://bugs.debian.org/678715 for
darktable but darktable has since switched to gtk3. Since gtk3 was
declared stable with 3.22 last year, I think it's become increasingly
clear that projects should not target gtk2 any more. (For instance,
there haven't been any new bugfix releases of gtk2 since 3.22 was
released.) While gtk2 will still be in Debian for a while, this looks
like an easy removal.

I believe it is as simple as running this command and adding an
appropriate changelog entry:
git revert 709083

https://anonscm.debian.org/git/collab-maint/colord-gtk.git/commit?id=7090838

I am a Debian Developer now so I would be happy to NMU this if you like.

Thanks,
Jeremy Bicha
