As I understand it, starting with amaroK 1.4, iPod support is done via libgpod0, instead of native. Since this library is what gtkpod itself uses, I think that perhaps amaroK 1.4 is capable of handling this gracefully. Bastian, would you be willing to test this with amarok 1.4-beta1 from experimental, and write back saying if it fixes?
