No, obviously not. If you actually read what I wrote I said that there is #876051. It'd be nice if that was fixed, yes, though. And then LO can remove the conflicts. Besides that, I don't consider this a big bug (your filing as minor was correct, imho, anyway). Not every package must be coinstallable with any other package, and this now is the case with libreoffice-core and openjdk-8.
