Package: ncmpc Version: 0.27-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
ncmpc does not let me decrease the volume (using - or left arrow), nothing happens when I press either of those keys. Increasing the volume (+ or right arrow) works as expected. This only happens when mpd is set to use Master as its ALSA mixer control rather than the default PCM. The relevant lines from my /etc/mpd.conf are audio_output { type "alsa" name "My ALSA Device" mixer_control "Master" } Any other MPD clients that I have tried do not have this problem. For example, “mpc volume -5” works fine. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (600, 'unstable'), (600, 'stable'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'buildd-unstable'), (200, 'experimental'), (1, 'buildd-experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.13.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fi_FI.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=fi_FI.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages ncmpc depends on: ii libc6 2.24-17 ii libglib2.0-0 2.54.1-1 ii liblirc-client0 0.10.0-2+b1 ii libmpdclient2 2.11-1 ii libncursesw5 6.0+20170902-1 ii libtinfo5 6.0+20170902-1 ncmpc recommends no packages.
