I use LaTeX a lot, I use AUCTeX and I use "source specials". For some
time I had emacs21 and gnuclient installed has well: when gnuclient is
available, AUCTeX sets it as the way that xdvi and emacs communicate.
So, for all the above reasons, I have been using gnuclient quite a lot
in emacs-snapshot-gtk, and I can confirm that it works like a charm.
(When I edit a long LaTeX, I use ctrl-mouse in XDvi frequently, and
then I implicitely invoke gnuclient; so I have done quite
a lot of testing).

yes, I completely agree

When I ran out of disk space.... and I had to delete emacs21.

So IMHO the only change needed is to add "emacs-snapshot" (or maybe
"emacs-snapshot-gtk" ) to the dependency list of gnuclient.
