If I disable the "Random walls" gnome extension this problem is still present, but it need a lot more time to appear (== X crash). I have also noted that the swap have a very low usage and when X crash there are still nearly all swap space available. $ cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness 60 Ciao Davide
