Exactly. That's what this request is about: please remove the stale binaries. > You do say: > > These architectures are no longer on the list to build for geomview. > > but you don't list why, Sorry. I didn't realise that was required. It's simply that geomview doesn't appear to run on amd64. I suspected it's broken on 64-bit architectures, though Steve L. suggests otherwise: Sorry, this is *not* (just) a 64-bit bug; geomview runs fine for me on my alpha. Since the etch RC policy says that packages must be supported on as many architectures as is reasonably possible, this is therefore an RC bug; please re-add alpha to the architecture list. ia64 can reasonably be left out until someone can confirm that this bug doesn't exist there, but given that both people who have reported this bug say they're using nvidia on amd64, I suspect it may be a 64-bit issue in geomview that only manifests when using the nvidia binary drivers -- in which case the package really ought to be supported on amd64 as well. So I put back alpha and closed the bug. > Did you contact the porters lists about this issue? What was their > response? Yes. I had several folks with amd64 reproduce the bug. No-one has any ideas what the bug is. It's all in the log of BTS 314988. -Steve -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
