I've encountered a similar problem. I've just upgraded to the latest
version of Stretch (9.2), and I'm getting a crash as well.
Linux killer-penguin 4.9.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.51-1 (2017-09-28)
x86_64 GNU/Linux
In my case, I'm trying to run a makefile that generates MS-DOS and Win16
binaries. The crash seems to happen when trying to run the make utility
that came with Borland C++ Builder 4.0; if I type in the compiler and
linker commands that the makefile generates they work OK.
The message that comes up is:
DPMI: Unhandled Exception 0e - Terminating Client
It is likely that dosemu is unstable now and should be rebooted
On my previous Linux install (a pre-release version of Jessie), dosemu
worked fine, although before running it the first time after a boot I'd
have to enable DPMI by running the following command as root:
# echo 1 > /proc/sys/abi/ldt16
This command no longer works; it now generates the error message:
bash: /proc/sys/abi/ldt16: No such file or directory
The version number reported by dosemu is 1.4.0.8, although if I try
running "apt-get install dosemu" it replies:
dosemu is already the newest version (1.4.0.7+20130105+b028d3f-2+b1)
Any thoughts?
