Package: dvipdfmx Severity: wishlist Dear dvipdfmx Maintainers and all other interested ones!
You may not have noticed that there are now two packages providing TeX functionality in Debian. Recently TeX live packages have been added to Debian and are currently available in the experimental branch. ATM the TeX live packages include their own version of dvipdfmx as shipped with TeX live (2005), but I would like to replace the included dvipdfmx with a dependency or recommendation for the Debian dvipdfmx package. Unfortunately currently dvipdfmx depends only on tetex(-base,-bin). I would suggest the following adaptions: - Change the dependency on tetex-bin and tetex-base in both cases to | texlive-base-bin (and by the way maybe you want to eliminate the texmf.d file as there is already an entry for CMAP in tex-common and thus in texmf.cnf) This way I can depend on Recommend: dvipdfmx in texlive-base. Thanks a lot for your attention and all the best Norbert -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (10, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-rc3-mm1 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
