examples provided in the pyotherside documentation produce errors because of known issues of pyotherside first reported against Qt5.4, which have been reported and fixed upstream (https://github.com/thp/pyotherside/pull/29). In the current state returned values from python calls cannot be properly converted and the library cannot be used for some basic usecases. Please consider updating the the package to the latest upstream release 1.5.3. Since the issue has been resolved upstream. I have already patched the debian source package locally to build against the latest release, which only requires an added build dependency for libqt5svg5. I am a complete newcomer in debian packaging and the bug reporting system, if there are errors or missing information in my report, I would be glad be glad for corrections.
