Hi Steve, Just revisiting this bug.
I'd like to NMU via RFS to fix this issue. A debdiff of the proposed changes is attached. I'm aware that the package needs a lot of work to clean it up. Such changes are outside the scope of a normal NMU, however, unless you give permission. -- Hugh McMaster
