Package: libopenvdb-dev
Version: 2.1.0-1ubuntu1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

I was attempting to compile a program that includes
/usr/include/openvdb/Types.h, which is provided by libopenvdb-dev.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)?

I installed libopenvdb-dev, wrote a program that included the previously
mentioned header, and attempted to compile it.

  * What was the outcome of this action?

It failed to compile because that header includes <OpenEXR/half.h>. I
investigated and discovered that this header is provided by the package
libilmbase-dev, which is not depended on by libopenvdb-dev.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

I would have expected all of libopenvdb-dev's dependencies to be installed as a
result of installing it.

Note: I am submitting this bug from an Ubuntu 14.04 computer, but have verified
that it exists in all versions of libopenvdb-dev in both Debian and Ubuntu.
