A resolution to bug -1 will prevent users from upgrading to newer btrfs-progs in stretch-backports, unless #878926 is resolved. That said, I fully support the resolution of bug -1 and have added it a tracking bug for issues blocking my next stretch-backports upload. Cheers, Nicholas
