Is there any chance that this bug will be fixed in Jessie at some point? (It seems to be already resolved in the autofs version in Stretch)
It looks like the Fedora thread listed suggests there is a fix there for the issue, but unfortunately not an explicit patch. It seems the change between "autofs-5.0.7-38.fc20" and "autofs-5.0.7-39.fc20" fixed it for the people who were experiencing the problem on that thread, but it wasn't clear whether the changes made up to "autofs-5.0.7-38.fc20" were also needed. Presumably there is a way to get to the Fedora changelog and diffs to see what was changed to fix it there.
