Package: ucf
Version: 3.0036
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

in my opinion, it is unrealistic that a package remembers all config
files it has ever owned. It is therefore unrealistic to expect a package
to manually ucf --purge all its config files.

There should be a --purge-all option that will tell ucf that a package
was purged and that all conffiles are gone now. Keeping information for
a purged package around is debateable cleaner, but ...

Alternatively, there should be a ucf --list option so that a maintainer
script can ask ucf about which files ucf still knows of.

Greetings
Marc
