Hi Joe. The developers have responded in <URL: https://github.com/prusa3d/Slic3r/issues/538 >, but their answer made it clear to me that I do not really understand the issue enough to be a middle man in the process. Could you perhaps join the discussion there and provide more information to the delopers to explain what exactly you are asking for?
