Package: libsane-dev
Version: 1.0.25-4.1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

The package libsane-dev is no longer multi-arch installable.

A diff of the i386 and amd64 binary packages reveals a file conflict
in /usr/share/doc/libsane-dev/sane.ps.gz.

Also, attempting to install the i386 variant after the amd64 package
results in fatal error:

  Preparing to unpack .../libsane-dev_1.0.25-4.1_i386.deb ...
  Unpacking libsane-dev:i386 (1.0.25-4.1) ...
  dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/libsane-
dev_1.0.25-4.1_i386.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite shared '/usr/share/doc/libsane-dev/sane.ps.gz', which is
different from other instances of package libsane-dev:i386
  Errors were encountered while processing:
   /var/cache/apt/archives/libsane-dev_1.0.25-4.1_i386.deb
  E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Please fix this bug as soon as possible, as it severely limits the development
of packages
that require multi-arch support from libsane-dev.

Thank you
