Above is part of the output of "top" which shows sendxmpp in an infinite loop. I don't know why it did that and haven't seen it happen in test situations yet. Strace shows that it's not making any system calls, so something in the Perl code is looping without doing any system calls. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_AU:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages sendxmpp depends on: ii libnet-xmpp-perl 1.05-1 ii perl 5.24.1-3+deb9u2 sendxmpp recommends no packages. sendxmpp suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
