reassign 869746 epiphany-browser found 869746 3.26.0-2 thanks This problem occurs only on my machine with libgl1-nvidia-legacy-304xx-glx:amd64 installed, and only with epiphany (now version 3.26.) It does not occur with /usr/lib/*-linux-gnu/webkit2gtk-4.0/MiniBrowser .
This problem doesn't occur with any other program on the libgl1-nvidia-legacy-304xx-glx machine. With an running epiphany, any second calls $ epiphany some_file_or_URL mostly produce real-time errors or segfaults, as I mentioned earlier. But sometimes do indeed succeed, maybe 20% of the time. Just like on https://serverfault.com/questions/594080/process-works-under-strace-but-not-normally however when run under strace, always succeed. So something about the "remote procedure call" to an already running epiphany is not "thread safe", or something... I'll reassign this while I research further.
