Luis, we know all that. There two other packages (apt-cacher and approx)
that do similar stuff.
i have allways tryed to look for an alternative to apt-proxy, because it
had many bugs in versions 1.9 > , but it allways worked for me, and i am
very pleased with it.
they are not in apt-proxy cache, they are in apt's cache. So you are
going to get them with apt-proxy-import /var/cache/apt/archives and get
all the packages for distributing them to the other machines.
In theory, yes. In practice, NO, it is broken and this is what this
report is about.
true, again, apt-proxy import, i used 2 or 3 times in 3 or 4 years.
any questions? Apt-proxy is very useful, and octavio i think is an
active developper ...
This (below) is not what I would call "active developer":
well ... i cannot say about that. for instance, wvince is displaying
lots of pdf's pages in black, have many bug reports, the list of
manteiners is huge, and still ... no one cares for that "little" bug
(and the rest of the list).
but, i think really, that this is wrong, not caring for that (for evince
and apt-proxy, and all others).
I see some packages that have bugs for years, that could be closed, but
they are open.
well ... back to the point: besides otavio, there was chris halls
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) .
that made 14-02-2006 and update do svn
http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/apt-proxy
i cc'ed him too
best regards
