I've already attempted to do so a couple of times. The current upstream (Herbert) is using GPL for his modifications to the libsocket++ code. The problem is with the code the original upstream author wrote. His contact info is out of date and I have yet to get a response from Herbert about this issue or whether he has up-to-date contact info for the original upstream.
