I've not seen any followup on this bug since May but I also I have the same kind of messages come when attempting to install on a new Debian 9 (stretch) on a hosted VM. >I cannot reproduce this either, maybe you could run some more tests for me. Except for the PID for citserver, of course, I saw the same thing when i attempted to do the install. > >This might come but should certainly not cause a hang. It certainly did so for me as well. >Would you be able to find out where in postinst it hangs? As I can see from the screenshot I took, it had gotten to about 89%. > And if it is in /usr/lib/citadel-server/setup where there? It seems to have been; at least, when I logged in on another ssh session & & checked I found that the setup program was still getting processor time (this was grepped from 'ps -ax') 12838 pts/0 R+ 440:31 /usr/lib/citadel-server/setup -q And a copy & paste from 'top': PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 12838 root 20 0 87572 6424 5464 R 100.0 0.4 445:19.10 setup To get it out of the way, I had to use a 'kill -9 12838' in order to kill that process. -- Robert J.
