Trying, but lack of bulk re-scanning functionality makes this difficult.
:( I don't want to trash my whole database because it contains
last-played data though.

This is actually a big annoyance as I move files around in my collection
using other programs. Or I retag. But rhythmbox doesn't notice these
changes. If I re-import I get files in their new locations, but their old 
locations are still in the db; I don't see a way to remove entries for
deleted files automatically. But maybe this is fixed in the new version?  


Anyway, it looks like it is fixed. I removed all the dud entries by
hand, re-imported my whole collection and all the genres are correct.
