Hi, Thanks for reporting. I think there already is a bug report for the first problem, the grep output fix is new. Your main problem is fixed in laptop-mode-tools version 1.26, downloadable from here: http://www.xs4all.nl/~bsamwel/laptop_mode/tools/debian.html I will try to find time to get this fix into the archive this weekend.
