It's an API change. Its manifested effect in QL is a visual glitch; in
other programs it may make widgets entirely inaccessible. But regardless
of how it appears, it's an API change. So I strongly feel its severity
should be RC.

Not yet. I will work on it. I suspect it's related to the fixes for
#322042 or #329099 in GNOME Bugzilla.
