Package: texinfo Version: 6.4.90.dfsg.1-1+b1 Severity: important When generating the MPFR manual, the contents are always in A4. FYI, the mpfr.texi file has:
@iftex @afourpaper @end iftex But on one of my machines (from which this bug is reported), the generated dvi and ps have a letter papersize, so that the contents may be partly truncated. Note that another Debian/unstable machine (which has the same config, AFAIK) does not have this issue. This silently occurs, so that for instance, one may upload incorrect files to a web server, which is really annoying. The generated pdf is OK on both machines (a4 contents, a4 papersize). In case this matters (but this shouldn't), the paperconf command outputs a4 on both machines. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.12.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=POSIX, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=POSIX (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages texinfo depends on: ii libc6 2.24-17 ii libtext-unidecode-perl 1.30-1 ii libxml-libxml-perl 2.0128+dfsg-3 ii perl 5.26.0-5 ii perl-base [perlapi-5.26.0] 5.26.0-5 ii tex-common 6.09 texinfo recommends no packages.
