I partitioned the drive with one primary ext3 partition (as /boot), and one big logical partition for use in lvm. I then created one VG and two LVs (one for / and one for /home). Install went fine. At boot the following errors occured: udevd-event[xxxx]: run_program: exec of program '/lib/udev/udev_run_hotplugd' failed. udevd-event[xxxx]: run_program: exec of program '/lib/udev/udev_run_devd' failed. udevd-event[xxxx]: run_program: exec of program '/lib/udev/udev_vol_id' failed. xxxx counts up to 3865. Then after the message: device-mapper: 4.4.0-ioctl (2005-01-12) initialised -- lots of udev fail spam -- 2 logical volume(s) in volume group "basicdisk" now active Done. ALERT! does not exist.
