Package: acmetool
Version: 0.0.59-1+b1
Severity: normal

The provided example snippets for Apache and nginx both have an alias
for the "/.well-known/acme-challenge/" URL path pointing to
"/var/run/acme/acme-challenge/". But when one does a 'quickstart' the
text in webroot question only metnions "/var/www/.well-known/acme-challenge".

Would it be possible to add some verbage to mention the "/var/run"
location?

The last paragraph currently says:

Webroot paths vary by OS; please consult your web server
        configuration.

Perhaps have something like:

Webroot paths vary by OS; please consult your web server
configuration. By default the Debian package uses
        /var/run/acme/acme-challenge

This way folks can copy and paste the 'correct' value right away without
having to look it up.
