Package: runit-services Version: 0.2.0 Severity: normal from ssh/run:
exec chpst -m8000000 "$SSHD" -D -e I appreciate the idea of limiting memory usage as a security precaution. BUT, this limit is inherited to subprocesses! For example, I was unable to run "apt-get update" because apt tries to mmap a 12M file. If you can figure out how to make the limit not inherited then it might be a good idea. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.15.4-b1 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 Versions of packages runit-services depends on: ii runit 1.3.2-1 a UNIX init scheme with service su ii socklog 2.0.2-2 system and kernel logging services -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
