I merged many bugs related to this problem into one. gnome-settings-daemon 3.24 splitted into many binaries, the blacklist of it in cinnamon-session supporting new change is done only in 3.4.1 (now in experimental) when cinnamon 3.4 will be in unstable/testing all users that not using gdm3 as display manager should have the problem solved.
Workaround awaiting this is change manually the cinnamon-session blacklist with dconf editor following this upstream commit about: https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon-session/commit/402355658665f5d544452e39902213c1d9027895 Using gdm3 instead the issue will persist because from version 3.24 load gsd-* processes before login and cinnamon-session blacklist can't avoid this, I suppose that gdm3 change is required. A workaround is use lighdm as displaymanager instead of gdm3.
