Package: makedumpfile
Version: 1:1.5.9-3~bpo8+1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I have installed linux-image-amd64 and makedumpfile (and k{dump,exec}-tools
from jessie-backports, and it seems that makedumpfile has a hardcoded upper
limit on the kernel version it supports (4.8.1 [1]).
Since the kernel version actually in backports is greater, makedumpfile
will always say "the kernel version is not supported" and not do anything.

Thanks,
