Package: pristine-tar
Version: 1.40
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

I was just building a large package from git-buildpackage with
pristine-tar and noticed that the creation of the source package
was taking rather a long time.

I looked at htop and noticed that only a single CPU (of the 8) was
being used in the call to `xz`, whilst xz's manpage itself claims
it can compress in "multithreaded" mode.

Would it be possible to enable this? :) I threw a naive extra
--threads=Sys::CpuAffinity::getNumCpus() and test_xz seemed to still
pass but I'm very likely missing something...

Best wishes,
