Package: zfs-dkms Version: 0.6.5.11-1~bpo9+1 Followup-For: Bug #864348 Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? I installed zfs-dkms from the stretch-backports repo. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? After installation the zfs modules were not loaded automatically and the systemd services for zfs were all in a failed state. 'zfs-import-scan.service' is wanted by 'zfs-mount.service' and 'zfs.target', so i added the appropriate symlinks ln -v -s "/lib/systemd/system/zfs-import-scan.service" "/etc/systemd/system/zfs-mount.service.wants/zfs-import-scan.service" ln -v -s "/lib/systemd/system/zfs-import-scan.service" "/etc/systemd/system/zfs.target.wants/zfs-import-scan.service" and restarted all ZFS services. * What was the outcome of this action? 'zpool status' no longer complains about missing ZFS modules. The ZFS services are in the expected 'active' state, except for 'zfs-import-cache.service', but that seems ok since there is no zpool cache file. * What outcome did you expect instead? I expected ZFS to work immediately after the installation. ** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.1 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/3 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages zfs-dkms depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.61 ii dkms 2.3-2 ii lsb-release 9.20161125 ii spl-dkms 0.6.5.11-1~bpo9+1 Versions of packages zfs-dkms recommends: ii zfs-zed 0.6.5.11-1~bpo9+1 ii zfsutils-linux 0.6.5.11-1~bpo9+1 zfs-dkms suggests no packages. -- debconf information excluded
