Hi,
upgrading avahi from 0.6.6-1 to 0.6.6-2 cause this message
when the system tries to load avahi from init script:
Starting Avahi mDNS/DNS-SD Daemon: avahi-daemonTimeout
reached while wating for return value
Could not receive return value from daemon process.
failed!
trying to launch avahi-daemon directly instead cause this
message:
cap_set_proc() failed: Operation not permitted
Downgrading from 0.6.6-2 to 0.6.6-1 solves the problem.
My system is:
Debian unstable with a custom build kernel-package
linux-2.6.15.1.
