pcmcia-modules-2.4.27-i386 is obsolete, the PCMCIA modules provided with the kernel should be used instead. In addition, it doesn't build anymore and I'm not interested in fixing it (I'm the maintainer). There might still be a small set of hardware where the kernel-provided modules do not work, but nobody else seem to be interested in working on the package, and I think it would be better to try to make the in-kernel modules work instead than supporting this old obsolete package.
