This just bit me real hard -- our environment mounts home directories based on NIS maps, so not a single debian machine is usable by users without root first going in and restarting autofs after boot.
Can NIS be moved to 18? Moving autofs to 20 has the problems that #252144 describe, but this needs to be fixed. It's pretty obviously broken. As a workaround I've renamed the links on a few machines, but it's not feasible to have to do that everywhere. (Recap: S19autofs is started before S19nis, so the NIS maps aren't available at start, resulting in no configured automounts). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
